Easter Festivities

In the days leading up to Easter we had several fun little activities.

We colored Easter eggs.

David was very artistic with his decorations.
You can't really see it but he used the white crayon to draw a bird sitting on a nest.
Then he dyed it. It was really cute.

I tried to be artistic. I typically leave that to David.

William loved putting his eggs in all the different colors.

This was Henry's first time coloring eggs. He LOVED it!

On Saturday we went to Cosmo's first Easter egg hunt.
Unfortunately lots of others got the memo and the place was packed. We were "supposed" to get just a few eggs per child. That definitely didn't happen. By the time we took 2 steps onto the field within a second of the hunt starting pretty much everything was gone. We got a lots of cards of a few different football players, a little towel thing, and 2 pieces of candy. I think we'll avoid public Easter egg hunts in the future. Oh well. At least the boys had fun.

We then headed up to Layton for an Easter egg hunt at Grandma's and Grandpa's.
This one was MUCH better. Lots of candy, some eggs filled with money, and great company.

The boys had a blast and ate WAY too many pieces of candy.

Charlie slept through most of the fun.
But he sure is excited for next year when he'll be part of the fun!

Looks like a fun Easter, I hate it when you take the kids to Easter egg hunts and they walk away with nothing. It is such a disappointment for them.
