On November 21st, Henry turned 18 months old!
Henry's stats at 18 moths
Weight - 28 pounds
Height - 33 1/2 inches
He's right in the 75th percentile.
Henry started nursery just before he turned 18 months. At first, he cried when being dropped off and then off and on throughout nursery. He liked having William in there with him, though. He still cries when being dropped off, but he is slowly warming up to nursery.
Henry is such a sweet boy. He loves to snuggle. He loves carrying his blanket around with him and he LOVES his binky. He only gets that at naptime and bedtime though. (And hopefully soon we'll be able to get rid of it!)
He loves to read books. He'll sit and look at books by himself or with William. He loves playing with William. He loves all things Cars and can tell you most of the names of the Cars characters. He loved studying the toysrus toy catalog. He could sit and look at that thing for several minutes at a time.
Henry is our screamer. He'll scream in his sleep for no apparent reason. He screams when he's happy. He screams when he's mad. He screams when he's sad. It sure drives us crazy at times, but he is slowly getting better. He loves to roar like a lion! He loves being loud! He loves climbing, too. He'll climb up on the kitchen chairs and then up onto the table.
His vocabulary is growing more and more each day. I love how he says "mmm... delicious!" when he's eating. It is simply adorable! Henry also prays now with help from mom or dad. He says amen so sweetly! And sometimes when he is ready for whoever is praying to be done he'll start saying amen over and over again!
On his half birthday we gave him some ice cream with a candle in it. After we sang "Happy Half Birthday" to him, we told him to blow out the candle. At first we thought he wasn't doing anything. But then we realized he was trying to blow the candle out with his nose! (He learned ho to blow his nose a month or two before he turned 18 months.)
He sure is silly!
No matter how hard he blew, he couldn't blow out the candle. Since his half birthday we'll occasionally light the candle and see if he can blow it out. So far, he hasn't been able to! He still blows through his nose!
Henry LOVES shoes! He has mastered untying his shoes. He will sit for several minutes at a time playing with shoelaces - untying them and then unlacing the shoes. He also loves to wear mine and David's shoes.
Henry makes us laugh everyday. His snuggles and charm more than make up for the frustrating middle-of-the-night-screaming-for-no-reason moments!
And one last thing...

his curls.
We sure love his red, curly hair. And those curls aren't going anywhere for a while! Henry is still our baby and we'll enjoy those curls for as long as we can!!!
We love you Henry!!!
