Christmas Morning

We had a truly wonderful Christmas. Definitely one of the best! It wasn't the gifts that made it the best. It was the joy of the season - of remembering our Savior - and our family traditions and just the simplicity.

Christmas morning the boys all slept in until 8:30. It was amazing! We gathered into our bedroom before going out to open gifts. We read the final scripture in our advent calendar and then we watched this video.  It truly was inspiring and uplifting. It set the mood for a wonderful Christmas day. Our Scripture Advent calendar was definitely a highlight of our Christmas season and is something we will do every Christmas.

Well, of course Santa visited us. The boys were very excited to see what he brought.

Here is what our living room looked like before the boys came in.

A note from Santa to William!

Our stockings were filled with yummy treats and great gifts!

Our beautiful tree!

All ready to go!

I had a surprise hanging on the wall for me!

David had made a beautiful frame for a Liz Lemon Swindle print that I've had for 5 years now. His dad helped him and it turned out so beautiful!

Something you want

Something you need

We then took a break to Skype with Grandma and Grandpa!

The boys opened their presents from Grandma and Grandpa while we were skyping.
It was so nice to skype with them and to be with them on Christmas day.

After visiting for a while we then got back to opening up our presents.

Something you wear
The boys each got a BYU hooded towel and 2 new ties.

Something to Read
We love new books!

We loved ALL our presents!
As soon as we finished opening our presents we loaded up the van and went to see David's family.
