Our Christmas Tree

We picked up our Christmas Tree on Saturday, December 3rd.  We chose to get a flocked tree again. They are just SO pretty and very easy to care for! I'm sure in the future we'll return to green Christmas trees.

We had a great time decorating our tree that evening. We listened to our new Christmas CD - Michael Buble's Christmas. William was very excited to decorate the tree. He loved hanging up the ornaments and finding places to hang each ornament.

He did a great job! Although he did group several close together!
(But they didn't stay there for long. Henry loved playing with whatever ornament he could reach!)
Henry helped for a few minutes. But then we decided he wasn't all that helpful. So we distracted him with a coloring book and crayons. He was pretty content to sit and color for a while. Henry sure loved the tree though. If/when he got his hands on an ornament that looked like a ball he would promptly chuck it across the room and yell "BALL"!!! Needless to say, all those ornaments were moved up high! He was pretty funny about the lights. He would walk up to them and point at them and yell "Hot!" and then try to blow on them (with his mouth, not his nose - see he's learning!).  He also would point at very ornaments and say "Wow, Cool!"

David put the star up on our tree. It sat a little crookedly, but we loved it. Having a real Christmas tree and decorating it with all our ornaments is one of my favorite things about Christmas! I have a lot of fond memories of selecting and decorating our Christmas tree as a child/teen and I hope my children will as well.

What a nice tree you had. We had to stop Zachary from pulling the lights off of the tree.
