Henry's first month was wonderful. We definitely had some challenging moments, but overall it was wonderful. Henry has brought a wonderful spirit into our home. We love having him and think he is so sweet. I was worried about what "kind" of baby he would be, especially since he was very active in the womb. He has a sweet temperament. He sleeps very well, eats extremely well, and is simply wonderful! We are so grateful that he has joined our family.
Here is a look back at his first month.

Henry would cry/scream every time we changed his diaper or his clothes. William also did this at this age. Henry is 6 days old in this picture. He handles diaper changes much better now.

Henry's first bath at home. He was 6 days old. I don't know why I waited so long before giving him a bath. I guess when you have 2 bath time for the baby can get overlooked pretty easily. Thankfully he now has a set bath time routine so he no longer goes a week or several days without a bath! Anyway, Henry enjoyed parts of his bath.

His next bath was in the bath tub (5 days later). He loved it! Well, he didn't like getting his hair washed and his head scrubbed, but he loved the rest of it. When he first got in he started to fuss. As soon as he rested his feet in the warm water he calmed right down. He loves bath time now.

Henry got to meet Jacob and Kat the day he came home from the hospital. We were grateful they visited us before they went back to Ohio. My dad was out of town when Henry was born. We expected him home the 2nd of June. Well, on the 30th of May my mom came to stay for most of the week. I thought it was rather odd that Adam came along with her to visit us since he would have to drive back home by himself. Terry, Nathan, and Amy were also visiting us when my mom arrived. My dad called a few minutes after my mom got to our apartment. I chatted with him for a few minutes before Terry mentioned that my dad was right outside! I couldn't believe it! It was a very pleasant surprise. Shortly after that, my grandparents stopped by. They were in Israel when Henry was born. It was a lovely evening! Henry got to meet Grandpa Neal a few weeks later.

Some random cute pictures of Henry. The top right picture shows Henry in his first cloth diaper! Right now he's wearing disposables, though, until he gets a little bit bigger.

Henry hated being on the floor at first. But he has learned to enjoy it. The picture with the boppy needs a little explanation. I had propped Henry up on it, but then he pushed himself forward until his head was resting on the floor.
Life with 2 has been an adjustment. It was actually harder with others here helping because I felt like I couldn't create a new "normal". Once it was just me with the boys things improved a lot. William had less tantrums and better adjusted to sharing mommy. Most of the time things run smoothly and William does really well with Henry. We do have difficult moments, though, when William hits Henry. Henry already has a cry that lets me know he's been hurt. William is getting better about not hitting Henry. William loves being with Henry. He is a good helper and lets me know when Henry's spitting (which he does a ton!), yawning, or crying. He tries to help out by giving Henry his binky and by gently rocking Henry's cradle. He loves hugging and kissing Henry. He also tries to share with Henry.
Then he decided to share the rest of his bedtime friends with Henry.
I love having 2 boys and look forward to when they can play together!
These next pictures show how much Henry has grown.
1 week old
2 weeks old
At Henry's 2 week check up he weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces and measured 21 inches long! Despite all his spitting up he had gained 2 pounds from when we left the hospital!

It amazes me how much they change in just one month. I love the picture of William having shared his stuffed animals. It is so sweet.
congrats! he is a CUTIE!! which is not a surprise! you guys are such a cute family!
He kind of reminds me of Anthony at that age. They kind of look like eachother. He sure is cute and William looks so proud. They will be great friends in a few years.
You are such a wonderful mom. You are doing so well. I hope things remain "normal" :)
These pictures makes me want to come and spend a day with you and your cute boys. We seriously need to get together! You coming down anytime next week? BJ is going to scout camp M-Thursday afternoon. We could get together. :)
Both of your boys are so very cute. We are sad we missed you last time we were in Utah. Glad to be able to keep in touch though. Thanks for sharing the pictures and experiences.
